Spike in Spokane
In the summer of 2023 and 2024, I (GM) took the mascot, Spike the Gonzaga Bulldog, around the city. Admissions survey data relayed that prospective students care about the communities surrounding the campus they choose, so this was and fun way to showcase the gems of the city and collaborate with local businesses. Gonzaga athletics are a key element in the overall university brand, so content using the mascot resonated with sports fans both locally and nationally.

#WYAZags
In the summer of 2024, I (GM) wanted to find out where the community was in the off season. Taking inspiration from the Portland Trail Blazers and Alaska Airline's "Wear in the World" campaign, I created the hashtag #WYAZags and put a call out on social media for students and alumni to submit photos and locations of what they were up to over the summer. This gave me easy access to free content, and I got to showcase some of the amazing things the community got up to (i.e. studying abroad, service programs, family vacations, graduate program immersions, etc.)
