My Story

At two years old I had my first cup of Irish breakfast tea. And from a very young age, my dad taught me that the crazy pace of life slows down over a cup of tea - boil the water, scald the teapot, draw the tea and breathe in. Add some honey, a drop of milk, and breathe out.  â€‹

A few years ago in Ireland, I stood in our family’s cluttered farmhouse, surrounded by the scent of cows, old photographs, and worn childhood awards. The past wasn’t just remembered—it was present. Later that evening, I sat down with my relatives over tea to ask about our family’s history. Their stories—humorous, layered, and full of heart—reminded me that storytelling is both an inheritance and a craft.

My background in communication, digital marketing, and leadership gave me the tools to carry that craft into my professional life. I’ve learned how to navigate conflict, build effective teams, and use storytelling as a bridge for connection. In digital marketing, I focus on how messages are received—ensuring visuals and copy reflect the true essence of the brand.

The COVID-19 pandemic became a turning point in my career, emphasizing the importance of digital community. I used social media to share local businesses’ stories and help them stay connected to their audiences—work that felt deeply meaningful and reaffirmed my belief in the power of authentic storytelling.

At Gonzaga University, I managed content strategies that connected audiences across platforms. I led a student team in producing user-generated content and served on the brand stakeholder group, helping develop new messaging, brand guidelines, and a website refresh. I also contributed to the creation of Gonzaga’s commercial campaign, which celebrated alumni shaping their industries and strengthened connections between students, alumni, and the broader community.

From a farmhouse in Ireland to the offices and classrooms at Gonzaga, I’ve grown through stories—those told, shared, and lived. My Irish roots continue to fuel my passion for storytelling and connection. In every conversation—whether across a digital platform or over a cup of tea—I strive to create space where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
